I worked as a primary school teacher for 19 years and then moved into working with early years children in children centres in Hackney.

Seeing the positive affects of outdoor learning on the children's well-being and language development, I set up the first outdoor nursery in London - Into The Woods Outdoor Nursery.

Once the children got to spend their days outside in the woods all my expectations were surpassed. The children’s natural creativity, reasoning skills and empathy were allowed to flourish and the children gained strong self esteem.

We are very excited to be able to join Tara in the development of this school. It will make it possible to carry on the work of the nursery as the children grow and try to reach some of those children the current system is failing. The fact that this school will be an inclusive model and be open to a range of people with different economic backgrounds has made it a project that I’m really proud to be part of.
